Tom Dillon is your tutor for these programmes. This is what he has to say about them.

Over the years I’ve taken numerous coaching courses and have always been surprised by the lack of opportunity to experience and practice real-life coaching. Coaching is a practice and there is no way that you can learn how to do it well by just reading or talking about it. You have to try it out, make mistakes, receive feedback and begin to understand how to be effective in a coaching conversation.

Which is why our coaching courses involve a blended learning approach, where you will learn the theoretical aspects of the course online in your own time. Then, when it comes to the classroom based element you will be able to put the theoretical elements into practice with your fellow course members, try out the ideas from different approaches for yourself, and learn the practical skills of effective coaching.

What do our qualified coaches have to say about the experience of learning on one of our accredited coaching qualifications?

“I have just completed the Coaching Diploma with Tom and I’d **highly** recommend it. For those wanting a thorough, interesting, challenging and friendly learning experience it’s perfect. I was looking for a flexible but rigorous course and Tom provided exactly that- lots of practice and reflection.”

Dr. Sarah Goulding

This course has been a brilliant experience with much personal and professional growth. The course design is fantastic and suited my preferred learning style perfectly – learning the theory of many different coaching approaches, models and tools followed by immediate application in the coaching room. Our small group of amazing health professionals enabled me to feel safe whilst practising my new coaching skills.

We want to make sure you are on the right path to begin your coaching journey.

I have no (formal) coach training.

We have found that working with doctors makes this an easier question to answer.

Our recommendation would be to join the Doctors’ Transformational Coaching Diploma programme and work through the Online Introdutory Coaching Award, which will provide you with the fundamentals of coaching in a way that’s easy to understand. You will be introduced to the key skills and qualities required to coach effetively. You will also learn why coaching is so effective as a way of empowering those you use your newly learned skills with.

We recognise that this is just the start of the journey and that you will want to put the theory into practice once your commence the experiential workshops that are essential to your learning on our Doctors’ Transformational Coaching Diploma.

I've done some coaching before

If you’ve done some coaching already, perhaps within an organisation, the Accredited Doctor’s Transformational Coaching Diploma is going to stretch your coaching in new directions.

Our syllabus is unique in the coaching world and covers a variety of different coaching approaches that are going to help you develop as a coach beyond the basic coacing skills and models that you have learned already.

Your coaching journey has already begun and we are going to help you travel further to new and exciting areas that you’ve yet to explore.

I already have a coaching qualification

That’s great. You will already have covered the essentials of coaching and the Transformational Coaching Diploma would probably be right for you. But if you’re uncertain, get in touch via the contact form and arrange to have a chat with Tom.

What does the accreditation mean?

Our coaching certificate and diploma have been accredited by the Association for Coaching. They have assessed it based on their core competencies and ethical framework. Firstly, this means that you know we will be covering all the essential elements of coaching to a high standard. And secondly, it makes for a smoother application when it comes to applying to be an accredited coach.
