We know our coaching doctors love a good read, as do we.
And there are some books that one or both of us have returned to several times, which is often a good indicator that it holds, not just a passing interest for us, but some deeper insights that are useful in our personal development and growth.
In this episode we discuss one of Tom’s recommended reads, Who Moved My Cheese?’ by Dr Spencer Johnson. WMMC is a short, easy to digest story that acts as a modern day parable and illustrates the different responses that people have towards change.
WMMC offers us a lesson around how complacency and a sense of entitlement can lead to inertia whilst change is going on all around us, and Tom reflects on how his own learnings from reading the story informed his response to the pandemic, back in 2020.
